Lehi Swimming Pool

Lehi Outdoor Poor
We went to the Lehi outdoor pool today-- not the one at the Legacy Center. We weren't expecting too much as they have only a pool and a couple of "big kid" slides. We were pleasantly surprised, though.

Of all the pools we've done, this one has the best temperature-- not freezing cold, but cool enough for a hot day. There is a tiny kiddie pool for those under 5, but the best part is the shallow large pool. The main pool is only 3 to 4 feet for most of it's area. Way down in the deep are two diving boards and two climbing walls. There's also plenty of room to throw out some towels and find your own spot.

The best part by far was the two large slides. Our kids usually avoid waterslides-- not because they are scared of the flumes, but they don't like landing in a pool at the bottom. They really wanted to watch Dad slide, though. When they saw that the slides ended in shallow tubes and there was no swimming required, both jumped at the chance to go down. Both our 4 and 7 year-olds went down with Dad and by themselves. Our big boy even went down the "fast slide" (the light blue one) by himself.

Our four year old coming down the slide all by himself.
Our 7 year old LOVED these slides, and he's pretty timid around water.
Our kids said this was their favorite pool because of the slides. And of course, we stayed so long we ended up with sunburns!

The Lehi Outdoor Pool is open M-Sat from 11 am- 6:50 pm.  It costs $5 for 12 and over, $4 for children ages 4-11, and 3 & under are free.

Try our other pool entries in Utah Valley including: the Scera, AF pool, and the Lindon Aquatics Center.

I forgot to get a picture of the kiddie pool, but our baby
mostly liked hanging out in the big pool with us anyway!

  1. I'm so happy I stumbled upon your blog! We just moved to Orem, and although I know there are a million family friendly things to do around here, I didn't know where to begin. I am relieved to have found a well written blog complete with tips, directions, and photos. Thank you!!
