Okay, so technically this is a Cache Valley adventure, but I didn't know about the zoo in Logan until a few days ago.

The entrance to the zoo--the capuchin monkeys are first! |
I really liked this zoo. It costs only $2 for an adult and $1 for a kid, but you can even skip that because there is no one manning the gate as you go in (I don't condone skipping because obviously the entrance fees help pay for the zoo). There is an "honor pay" box by the entrance. They had a lot of animals in the park, and it was a great place to spend an hour and a half. We saw a whole lot of local birds of every kind: swans, ducks, geese, owls, ravens, hawks, vultures, etc. There were also some nice tropical birds: macaws, parrots, parakeets and the like.

We loved the ducklings! They were so cute! |
|
The bald eagle was so pretty! |

My boys checking out a swan. They were amazed it was standing on one foot. |
They had some bigger animals, too. There was a coyote, a pronghorn, a bull elk, monkeys, raccoons, snakes, bobcats, fallow deer, and lots of turtles and tortoises.
|
We saw a ton of turtles. It was awesome! |
The highlight for me, though were the porcupines. There was a regular porcupine and an albino porcupine. It was, of course, entirely white with pink eyes.

Overall, we thought the
Willow Park Zoo was one of the best places to spend an hour in Cache Valley.
