Thanksgiving Point Gardens

Our family in front of the waterfall
We have a pass to Thanksgiving Point, and we often find ourselves at the farm, the dinosaur museum, or checking out the Christmas lights. Recently, though, we decided to check out the gardens. We'd only been there once before, and that was for a birthday party long ago.
The tiny minnows were captivating for a 6 year old (and his dad)
We were blown away by how much our boys liked it. They have a beautiful waterfall that you can view from either the top or the bottom. In September the flowers were still gorgeous. There were even some wild animals. We saw the cutest cottontail bunny and two humming birds (that were too fast to get a picture of).

It was very relaxing to stroll through the gardens. Some people had rented a golf cart, others (presumably on dates) were using segway scooters. We had a stroller and were happy for the exercise. As you walk, you'll come across open spaces. Our boys loved to roll down the hills. There are also stops like the carousel, the secret garden, and the waterfall.

Even in September the flowers have quite an aroma

Make sure you pick up a map before you go. The Gardens have quickly become one of our favorite places to visit at Thanksgiving Point.

The baby is a big fan of any walk. He especially liked the bumpy parts!

You can view the falls from many angles

Everyone likes pink and red-- we like blue and purple

(Make sure you check out our entry on Cornbelly's which comes to Thanksgiving Point at the end of September.)

  1. Wow! You have some great hiking ideas! A group of friends and I have created a blog also on things to do in Utah Valley. We have a lot of restaurant reviews and date ideas and such, but you might find some good ideas to try out! Here's the link if you are interested: http://utahvalleyhappenings.blogspot.com/
