Polar Express Lindon Utah

All ready to ride the Polar Express!
Last night we had the great opportunity to ride the Polar Express put on by Stringtown Railroad. We had an amazing time. Because you need a reservation, there was no line. You check in and watch The Polar Express movie for about 5-10 minutes while you wait for your train to arrive. The train ride takes you through some light displays on your way to the North Pole where you have a chance to visit Santa for free (bring your camera). After a visit with Santa, you have another ride through a Nativity and images of Jesus Christ before arriving back at the station. The entire event takes about 45 minutes and my boys loved it. Of course, their favorite part is riding the train. We even had rain the entire time, and no one cried or complained.

Did I mention that this event is FREE? Their suggested donation is $2/person to cover costs. Any extra is donated to charity.

In order to participate in this activity, you must have a reservation. They are most likely all filled up for this year, but if you hurry, you might get a chance. It is random lottery who gets tickets. They are filling reservations through Sunday, December 2nd. Click here for the reservation page. Make sure to put your reservation in early next year.

And don't forget their Halloween Nightmare Express in October.

Checking in!

Light displays you see on the train ride.

Part of the nativity scene.

What a fun ride!
