Waffle Love Truck

The Waffle Love Truck
Tonight we tried a new treat. It was a warm waffle from the Waffle Love Truck. The Waffle Truck moves locations every day. You have to check on Facebook to see their current location (see the links below). They are usually in a location from 10 AM - 2 PM, and then again in the evening from 5 - 9 PM. They travel from Mapleton all the way up to Lone Peak High. All locations we saw were in Utah County.

The Waffle Truck makes liege waffles. We had no idea what that meant, so we looked it up an Wikipedia which says, "The Liège waffle is a richer, denser, sweeter, and chewier waffle.  It is the most common type of waffle available in Belgium."

Bananas & Cream
This is pretty accurate. We noticed right away that the waffle was very dense and chewy. You can put a variety of toppings on your waffle: strawberries, cream, chocolate, bananas, biscoff (crunchy cookie butter), Nutella, and more. So we tried a few options and enjoyed them all. Unfortunately, they had run out of chocolate (what?), so our boys didn't get their first choice. Our favorite was strawberries and cream.

You eat your waffles outside or in your car based on the weather, and don't plan on any garbage cans or napkins. It is just a truck that hands out waffles, so you have to pack your trash out.

Enjoying my strawberries & cream waffle in the van!

Once you've added a topping, each waffle comes to about $5 (a little more if you add a few toppings). We didn't think this was too pricey for such a unique treat and fun adventure. We probably won't be getting one every week, but we will definitely keep an eye on the Waffle Love Truck for future family outings. This would be a great date!!
