Hyrum State Park Cabin! |
Hyrum State Park rents out a simple cabin for a very reasonable price. Last summer, we rented out both cabins and went with relatives to live on the lake for a few days. The cabins are very basic: 2 large bunkbeds (I think they're queen) that sleep up to 8 people, a small fridge, a 2 person table, and air conditioning/heating. There is also a grill and a larger picnic table outside the cabins.
A few things you'll need to know before you go: Take your own linens. The mattresses are vinyl, and no sheets are provided. We took sleeping bags and pillows and were very comfy.
Bathrooms are communal and just a short walk from the cabins. There are also showers available.
We really enjoyed the cabins, but what would you do at Hyrum State Park? Well, anything that you can do on a lake. We spent a lot of time swimming and fishing. Others were canoeing and boating. There is a rather nice beach, and the lake is beautiful. It's also a short drive over to Logan, so we did a few activities like Willow Park Zoo and Riverside Trail up Logan Canyon.
Check out the Hyrum State Park website for more details.

You guys wanna go this year? We were talking about going a few weeks ago. We miss Logan.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a really fun place to go and a place to consider for the upcoming summer. One of our favorite places to stay in cabins is http://www.brightonchalets.com up Big Cottonwood canyon. It's close to Silver Lake and is beautiful in both the summer and the winter.
