Living Planet Aquarium

Lion fish--one of our favorites to see

If you are looking for our new post about the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, click here

We wrote a post last year about the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. My boys love to go and we happened to get a great deal on passes, so we headed there yesterday. Aquarium passes are only $20/adult and $16/child (3-12). I think this is a great deal and for those of us who live near Lehi, it is only a 20-25 minute drive for a great activity during the winter. I am always looking for some way to pass the winter days.

They have added a new section to the aquarium since we have been with some more reptiles and amphibians, and a few more fish. They also had scorpions and you could see them glow green in the dark--my kids loved that. Otters are coming sometime in January, so if you haven't been for awhile you'll find lots of new things to see.

The aquarium is moving to a new location next year. So they will be closed November 2012 through April 2013.

And since my last post didn't have pictures, I am adding a few here so that you can see what it is like at our little local aquarium (there is a short video of the turtle eating lettuce).

Checking out the frogs and salamanders.

Posing on the giant bullfrog

The penguin exhibit.

The anaconda--first time I have seen it out of the water.
